Paul was presented with the prestigious Foulerton Award on Saturday, 12 June 2021, when some seventeen geologists and Woolhope Club members gathered at Paul’s house. Fortunately it was a beautiful day so the party could take place out of doors.
The honour was in recognition by the Geologists’ Association of Paul’s outstanding support of the organisation and its aims over many years. A plaque commemorating the award was presented to Paul by Dr Nick Pierpoint of the GA (on the left, above), when he recorded Paul’s many achievements.
Also present was Dr Vanessa J. Banks, president of the GA, with Paul and David Whitehead, current president of the Woolhope Club.
