BOUNDARY TREES

Trees have been used as boundary markers for hundreds of years according to written records and probably for many years before that. It is surprising that these trees are not just the long-lived species such as oak, yew or holly but also thorn. Many references to them can be found in documents and records of them can be found in this section. The Club would be glad to hear from anyone who can write a small article on the subject, even better if the boundary tree can still be found. The records will be key-worded so they can be found with the Search mechanism or just browse the list.
